It Takes a Village
The Mally Network was founded in February 2025 in Southwest Portland, inspired by the legacy of our grandmothers—steadfast women who shaped our values and lit the way forward. Long before this organization took form, we were moved by the quiet power of therapy animals and the joy they bring to elders in care. That same spirit of connection guides us now as we build partnerships, craft thoughtful programs, and begin this new chapter—an enduring tribute to the matriarchs we watched age with grace and resilience while loving us without condition. In honoring them, we’ve made it our mission to offer a measure of that support and companionship to today’s local elders—echoing, in our own way, the care our grandmothers once gave us by providing the reassurance that their beloved pet is in good hands and that love doesn’t have to end in goodbye.
